Bar Magazine | Developing Premium Bar Excellence | Pretty Decent Beer Co to Open New ‘Side Pour’ Taproom at Victoria Park

Pretty Decent Beer Co (PDBC) is expanding its presence in East London with a brand-new taproom in a historic canal-side building by Victoria Park, set to open on Wednesday, 4th December.

This new venue will feature 14 side-pour taps, offering the largest selection of Czech-style side-pour taps in the UK. Traditionally used for Pilsners, these taps will enhance Pretty Decent’s diverse range of modern beers, from weekly special releases to core favourites like the 4.5% Session IPA, I Could Get Better at T*sco for a Quid

Throughout December, food will be provided by some of London’s top street food vendors, served from trucks outside the taproom, including Hanoi Cà Phê, and Emerald Eats who is famed for her Irish cuisine.

In early 2025, the team behind Mexican Seoul will set up a permanent kitchen on-site, bringing their brand-new food concept, Seouls of Mischief, to the pretty decent kitchen.

Guests will find a variety of beer styles, from hazy IPAs to fruit sours, alongside vegan, gluten-free, and alcohol-free options. The drinks menu also includes a carefully selected wine list from sustainable and low-intervention producers, a cocktail menu of the team’s favourite classics, and a few surprises, including “Viccy Park Soft Serve” – a unique beer-infused soft serve ice cream

The taproom’s space is split into two distinct areas with a total of 120 covers: a cosy front bar perfect for quiet pints and date nights, and a lively communal beer hall in the back of the building, which was once a distillery. This spacious area includes nostalgic touches like an arcade machine and a foosball table.
